Ghost Recon Wildlands Ghost Mode

August 01, 2019

Are you tired of saving Amaru? Are you afraid to use helicopters, mines, or motorcycles? Are you trying to fully complete Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon® Wildlands by getting that elusive trophy or achievement? In this post, you are going to learn something Ubisoft doesn't want you to know. You can forget about losing 32 hours and 12 minutes worth of gaming because you can backup your character. That's right, never have to worry about Itacua again.

How many times have you lost your Ghost Mode character? Was it an honorable death where you were fighting ten too many Unidad soldiers, low on ammo, with only your trusty pistol left? Or was it a little more unfortunate? Here is a list of some of my "favorite" deaths of my friends and me.

  1. Helicopter skid grazed the water resulting in instant drowning
  2. Pulled out a drone while riding in a helicopter and the rotors exploded
  3. Drove over a mine assuming it was a proximity mine
  4. Got ran over by the rebels when they swerved off the road to help shoot Santa Blanca
  5. Got shot by your teammates (not the AI)
  6. Superman style off a motorcycle
  7. Base jumped off a three-meter tall rock, splat

You can check out some more crazy ways people have died in Ghost Mode on Reddit.

Requirements

The only requirement to backup and restore your character is a flash drive. Don't have one? Amazon sells the one I am using for about $4.

Steps to backup your character

These steps are for the PlayStation 4, but the general process should work for the other systems as well.

  1. In the Settings, find the Application Saved Data Management
  2. Select "Saved Data in System Storage"
  3. Copy to USB Storage Device
  4. Select Which USB Storage you want to use
  5. Select Ghost Recon Wildlands
  6. Select Save All Files & Copy

Steps to restore your character

  1. In the Settings, find the Application Saved Data Management
  2. Select "Saved Data on USB Storage Device"
  3. Select Which USB Storage you want to use
  4. Copy to System Storage
  5. Select Ghost Recon Wildlands

That is it. Now you can load Wildlands back up and continue playing. What do you think? Will you start saving your character, or do you feel like it is cheating? Tweet us what you think, or your favorite death.
